Washing unit consist of a continuous perforated belt of stainless steel or polypropylene material, rotates in close path on rolls supported by idlers, which is surrounded by chassis made of the MS. First part of the belt is for loading, (fruits are fed by hopper, which is mounted on the chassis, second part for washing with water by using water jet, provided by pump (a filter is also provided to clean the water) Third part is for removal of water from the fruits by means of air jet produced by compressed air which is provided at the top. At the bottom of the chassis reservoir for water collection is provided to minimize the water wastage.
